Can I install a Water2 filter myself or do I need a plumber?
Yes – Water2 is designed for easy DIY installation in around 10 minutes when everything fits perfectly.
However, most UK homes have slightly different pipework, stop taps, or flexible hoses, which is where people usually run into problems.

Why has my water pressure dropped after fitting a water filter (Water2, Waterdrop, iSpring, etc.)?
A drop in pressure is completely normal and actually a helpful sign!
These filters remove microplastics, PFAS, chlorine, lead, heavy metals and (in hard-water areas like Leicestershire) limescale gradually builds up inside the cartridges.
When flow slows down, it almost always means it’s time to replace the filter – usually every 6–12 months depending on your water hardness and usage.
